The Life of Drew’s Laptop
Posted on August 20th, 2009 CommentsThis is a guest post from my laptop. Yeah, my laptop.
Being a laptop is not easy, my owner (now don’t go editing this Drew) is not always patient with me. I’m over 3 years old and that is like 1,000 in technological years. You know, like dog years but exponentially more. I take a while to process things these days and I am a bit set in my ways. I simply hate it when Drew holds my power button down and shuts me off before I’m through cleaning up all my data packets. That is okay I get him back every morning when he turns me on and I take 10 minutes to boot up.
Sure I’m peeling a bit but Drew doesn’t have to continue to pick at my scars and make them worse, but he does when he’s waiting for me to process big jobs. It is not my fault that I don’t have enough RAM. I can barely support 2GB and it is not like that was installed in the first place. But to scratch me up and bang me around all the time well that is just rude. I think he does it because he’s not happy with my performance. I think that is rather mean.
But I have aspirations too. I sometimes as I hibernate I ruminate about being a sleek new HP HDX16t series. I simply cannot compete with the features of this computer. From the free upgrade to 4GB of RAM (I’ve only dreamed of more than my measly 1GB) to the Vividly bright 1080p ultra-wide 16:9 infinity display. I know that Drew would love that because my display now has a weird line in it permanently which makes everything he looks at rather weird. Drew does deserve a much better laptop, faster lighter and with so many more features. I know I can’t give him that but do wish that I could. You should see the things that he can do with me, imagine if he had better equipment.
