    • I specifically requested no "Crush It" for Christmas.

Although I respect the message this young man is promoting, that is, "sell, sell, sell," the most truthful thing he says in interviews is that he treats his online life as if he were at a cocktail party.

The cocktail parties I've attended throughout my life are heavy on time wasting, hypocrisy, and, yes, a few contacts.

This young man is a wine expert. Everything he does is aimed at selling his wine expertise, and then getting traffic to his site. Well, good for him.

If anyone has ever started a business, of course it is important to spend lots of time selling selling selling. And, that's what he is doing. Whether he genuinely likes what he is hearing from the other party, or genuinely disagrees, Crush It's message is sell, sell, sell. Let the other guy think you care and then sell, sell, sell.

Eventually then, he builds a reputation as a nice guy with lots of wine expertise.

It is often said that there are few if any new things on this planet, and Crush It introduces nothing new.

It is the same message that all salesman know.

      1) Keep your genuine opinions to yourself unless you are talking about the product, and, even then, couch remarks with great understanding of what the other guy thinks.

      2) Close the sale as soon as possible.

      3) Move on to the next guy.

I don't need a book to do something that the sales community has known forever. This young man is a motivator to SELL.

But, again, he is saying nothing new.
    • Thank you for your comment. While I disagree with you and find that you have a very strong, cynical opinion on something you didn't even read, nor have no intention of reading as you specified that no one get you the book I thank for comment, anyway.
